• Darron Hayden, P.E., S.E.

  Senior Principal Structural Engineer

  Mr. Hayden founded Hayden Consulting Engineers, Inc. in 2003. He has over 30 years of engineering consulting experience and is licensed in six states. Darron has worked on a large variety of projects including new construction, structural condition assessments, repair of existing structures, seismic upgrades, and historic renovations. view resume

• Gabi Miller, P.E.

  Principal Engineer

  Mrs. Miller has worked at Hayden Consulting Engineers since June of 2005. She is licensed in Oregon, Washington, and California. Gabi has worked on projects for schools, fire stations, breweries, office and warehouse buildings, custom homes, and multi-family complexes up to five stories. She specializes in new construction, seismic upgrades and ASCE 41 assessments. view resume

• Curtis McFeron, P.E.

  Principal Engineer

  Curtis joined the Hayden team in 2004. Since then he has collaborated on the design of a variety of building projects including office, warehouse, multifamily, retail facilities, new residential, residential remodels, metal building foundations, and seismic strengthening of buildings. view resume

• Kathryn Long

  Office Manager

  Kathryn joined the Hayden team in 2015 as bookkeeper. She has over eight years of office administration and bookkeeping experience, as well as a background in interior design and drafting.

• Andy Roe, P.E.

  Senior Project Manager

  Andy has been with Hayden Engineers since 2007. He works on a variety of projects, including commercial tenant improvements, residential remodel, fire escape certification, historic renovation, and seismic retrofit. He is a licensed P.E. in Oregon and California. view resume

• Kelsey Nickel, E.I.T.

  Structural Designer

  Kelsey was welcomed into the Hayden Engineers team in June 2021 as a full time Structural Designer. Kelsey's experience at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo equipped her with the skills to tackle a variety of projects, including but not limited to wood, steel, masonry, and reinforced concrete. In the future, she hopes to pursue a passion for designing composite structures, such as custom homes. view resume

• Demetrio Ortega, E.I.T.

  Structural Designer

  Demetrio commenced his career with Hayden in 2022 as a full time structural designer after graduating from Portland State University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Portland State prepared Demetrio to take on projects involving most common building materials such as reinforced concrete, steel masonry, and wood. He continues to work on a variety of projects, aiming to focus on custom homes and commercial remodels. view resume

• Sophia Spisak, E.I.T.

  Structural Designer

  Sophia worked as an intern at Hayden Consulting Engineers the summer of 2022. She became a full time employee in 2023 after graduating from Oregon State University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. She has worked on a variety of projects and continues learning more with each new project. view resume

• David Miller

  Senior Structural Drafter

  Mr. Miller has 20+ years experience in the structural drafting and design field. He has worked on projects including residential, small to large commercial buildings, and industrial facilities. At HCE he provides design drawings from the beginning schematics to the final completed project for residential and commercial buildings ranging from remodels to new buildings. Other tasks include site visits, site summary reports, and reviewing as-built conditions for buildings, as well as I.T. services for the office.
